Sourdough Discard Brownies

Sourdough discard brownies recipe

Sourdough discard brownies are a delicious way to make use of leftover sourdough starter. These brownies are rich, fudgy, and have a subtle tang from the sourdough discard, which adds a unique depth of flavor. The batter combines melted butter and sugar, with eggs and vanilla extract for a smooth, creamy base. The addition of cocoa powder gives them a deep chocolate flavor, while the chocolate chips or chunks add bursts of chocolatey goodness throughout. With a slightly crispy exterior and a soft, gooey center, these brownies are a delightful treat for any chocolate lover. The recipe also includes an option to add nuts for a crunchy texture or a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a flavorful contrast.

  7. Bake:
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Smooth the top with a spatula. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
